Biography

Caryn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Caryn was awarded 'CPX' Signature Status and the 'CPX' Five-Year Merit Award from the Colored Pencil Society of America.
Her work has been shown in solo gallery exhibits and she has participated in numerous juried shows and group exhibitions. Her award-winning work is in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and Canada.

Caryn has studied colored pencils with Arlene Steinberg, botanicals with Rose Pellicano and East Asian brush painting with In K Kim, Carolyn Clarke, Sungsook Setton, Sally Feng Fader and Gladys Stewart.

She has participated in colored pencil workshops with Erwin Lewandowski, Cynthia Knox, Barbara Dahlstedt, Dyanne Locati, Kristy Kutch, 
Jeffrey Smart Baisden​, Tracy Frein, Morgan Kari, Pam Belcher, Robert Kogge, Gemma Gylling,  Amy Lindenberger and Nancy Culmone ; East Asian brush painting workshops with Gan Yu and Hui Sheng Li and alcohol ink workshops with Jane Kizner and Lorraine Rimmelin.

Caryn currently resides with her husband on Long Island, NY.
